Executive Bios
Dan R. Basso
Co-founder, President and CEO
As president, CEO and co-founder of Systemware, Dan Basso guides the company's product development, sales and marketing efforts and provides strategic planning and analysis. Under his direction, Systemware has continued an annual growth rate of more than 30 percent. Dan sets the standard for excellence at Systemware while encouraging all employees to have fun. Before starting Systemware, Dan was a member of the senior IT management team at Frito-Lay where he led strategic technology initiatives. He has held positions with the Federal Reserve Bank of Dallas and LTV Corporation. Dan holds a bachelor's degree in aeronautical engineering from the University of Illinois.
Allen Curl
Co-Founder and Vice-President, retired in 1998
Allen (who grew up in urban Columbus, Ohio) chose the countryside for his retirement. He and his lovely wife, Cynthia, live in rural Virginia near Williamsburg. Allen earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering in 1963 from Case Institute of Technology (now Case Western Reserve) in Cleveland, Ohio. Allen became associated with Dan Basso and Michael Vander Linden when they all worked together at Frito-Lay. In 1981 he joined his two friends in forming Systemware. Allen’s versatility and resourcefulness proved invaluable for a growing business. During his tenure with Systemware, Allen served in various capacities including; Support, Accounting, Administration, Marketing, and Finance. In retirement, Allen has found his true calling! When he is not working around their property, Allen enjoys bowling. He has participated in state and national bowling tournaments.
Michael R. Vander Linden
Co-founder, Executive Vice President and Chief Technology Officer
As a co-founder and the vice president of development, Michael Vander Linden is the visionary behind Systemware's product development, and his talent drives product innovation. His insight and technical vision have resulted in a suite of products that have been proven to be the very best in numerous customer evaluations. He holds a BS in physics and mathematics at St. John's University and a master's of applied mathematics from University of Arkansas. He also earned his MBA from University of Utah. Mike is a former captain of the United States Air Force.
David J. Basso
Vice President, Sales
David Basso leads Systemware's sales force. David combines his experience in sales with his understanding of Systemware's products in order to achieve the company's sales goals. Before joining Systemware, he held positions at Armstrong World Industries and Systel Office Automation. David holds a bachelor's degree in marketing from Millikin University in Decatur, Illinois.
Frankie A. Basso
Vice President, Marketing
As vice president of marketing, Frankie Basso is responsible for the marketing and branding of Systemware's software products. He also oversees the company’s product management efforts as well as its strategic positioning. His ability to translate complex technical matters into simpler terms has positioned him as an expert communicator on content management issues. Prior to becoming vice president of marketing, Frankie worked in the sales division at Systemware. He holds a bachelor's degree in communications from Southern Methodist University.
Ronald D. Denheyer
Vice President, Finance/Administration, CFO
Ron Denheyer is responsible for Systemware’s finance and administration departments, which include accounting, payroll and benefits and facilities. Ron adds the needed insight to manage the financial operations of the business to ensure that Systemware continues to experience the financial stability its employees and customers have grown to expect. Prior to joining Systemware, Ron was with Argonaut where he held the position of division controller. He holds a BBA in Finance from Texas Christian University and his MBA from University of Dallas. Ron is a member of Financial Executives International.
Steven A. Carrillo
Vice President, Development and Support
As vice president of development and support, Steven Carrillo oversees development, technical support, and product maintenance. Steve has distinguished himself by his substantial understanding of the technical aspects of the centrAspect software suite. Prior to joining Systemware, Steven was an operations analyst for Pima County and spent four years in the United States Army. He has been with Systemware since 1994.
Patrick M. Sheehan
Vice President, Technical Services
As vice president of technical services, Pat Sheehan oversees customer implementation, consulting services and technical sales support. Pat’s experience in computer science has helped him create innovative technical solutions satisfying specific customer needs and allowing customers to better leverage their Centraspect solution. Pat holds a bachelor’s degree in mathematics and computer science from Vanderbilt University.
